Learn More About QHHT®

Your Journey. Your Questions. Your Experience.

A QHHT® session is an opportunity to step away from the noise of everyday life, enter a deeply relaxed state, and become curious about what may emerge when you turn your awareness inward.

Developed by Dolores Cannon, Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique® is a method of hypnosis designed to facilitate exploration of consciousness and what Cannon referred to as the Subconscious or Higher Self.

Your experience may include imagery, memories, emotions, sensations, symbolic experiences, past-life experiences, inner knowing or other forms of awareness and many people remain aware during their session.

QHHT® isn't about trying to make something extraordinary happen.

It is about allowing your experience to unfold.

What Is QHHT®?

Dolores Cannon developed QHHT® through decades of work with hypnosis and thousands of sessions with clients.

The technique uses a deeply relaxed state of consciousness in which the everyday analytical mind can become quieter, allowing a person to explore experiences and information that may not normally be accessible during ordinary waking awareness.

Within Dolores Cannon's QHHT® framework, a session may include exploration of scenes or experiences followed by communication with what she called the Subconscious (SC)—also commonly described within QHHT® as the Higher Self.

This should not be confused with the psychological use of the word subconscious. In QHHT®, the term refers to a deeper aspect of consciousness that Cannon believed could provide insight, understanding and guidance.

You do not need to share a particular spiritual or religious belief to have a QHHT® session.

Curiosity and openness are enough.

Will I Be Asleep or Unaware?

This is one of the most common misconceptions about hypnosis.

QHHT® may feel much more natural than you expect.

You are not necessarily asleep or unaware of what is happening. Many people remain aware during their session. You may hear my voice, respond to questions, describe what you are experiencing and remember much or all of your journey afterward.

You are not giving your mind or your control over to another person.

Instead, think of hypnosis as a state of deeply relaxed, focused awareness.

And perhaps most importantly:

You do not have to feel "hypnotized" for an experience to be meaningful.

Sometimes people expect hypnosis to feel dramatically different from normal consciousness. When it doesn't, they wonder whether anything is happening.

Rather than evaluating the experience while you're having it, I encourage you to remain curious and describe whatever comes to you.

A color.

A feeling.

An image.

A word.

A sensation.

A place.

Or simply a knowing.

We begin with whatever is there.

What Might I Experience?

Every person's experience is different.

Some people experience scenes that feel vivid and detailed. Others receive information more subtly.

You might notice:

• Images or scenes
• Colors or light
• Physical sensations
• Emotions
• Words or thoughts
• Memories
• Symbolic imagery
• Places or environments
• People or other presences
• Past-life experiences
• An intuitive sense of knowing

And sometimes, at first, someone may feel as though they are seeing very little—or nothing at all.

That's okay.

There is no test to pass and no experience you need to produce.

As your practitioner, I can gently ask questions and help you explore what is present rather than encouraging you to force something that isn't.

What About Past Lives?

Past-life exploration is perhaps the aspect of Dolores Cannon's work for which QHHT® is best known.

Some clients experience what they interpret as another lifetime. Others experience symbolic scenes, memories, unfamiliar environments, abstract imagery or experiences that don't fit neatly into a particular category.

You don't need to decide beforehand what you believe.

Instead, I encourage you to approach whatever arises with curiosity.

Experience first. Interpret later.

What matters most is not necessarily what you experience, but what meaning or insight the experience may hold for you today.

The Higher Self / Subconscious

After the exploratory portion of a QHHT® session, the technique traditionally includes an opportunity to communicate with what Dolores Cannon called the Subconscious (SC) or Higher Self.

Within the QHHT® framework, this is understood as a deeper level of consciousness and wisdom beyond the everyday analytical mind.

Before your session, you will prepare questions you would like to explore.

These may relate to:

Life & Purpose
Direction, decisions, purpose, recurring themes or feeling drawn toward something more.

Relationships
Family, partners, significant connections, repeating relationship patterns or unresolved experiences.

Career & Creativity
Work, direction, blocks, transitions, creativity and decisions.

Health & Well-Being
Questions about your body, habits, emotions or experiences you would like to understand more deeply.

Spirituality & Consciousness
Your spiritual path, unusual experiences, intuition, dreams, connection or questions about consciousness.

There are no perfect questions.

Bring the questions that matter to you.

Your QHHT® Session with ReBecca

A QHHT® session is much more than the hypnosis portion.

I intentionally allow plenty of time so your experience doesn't feel rushed.

1. We Begin With Conversation

Before hypnosis, we spend time talking.

I'll learn about you, what has brought you to QHHT®, important experiences in your life and the questions you would like to explore.

This conversation helps me understand you before I guide your session.

It also gives you time to settle in, become comfortable with me and the space, and ask questions before we begin.

2. Preparing to Journey Inward

When you're ready, you'll get comfortable and I will gently guide you into a progressively deeper state of relaxation and focused awareness.

There is nothing you need to perform.

Nothing you need to prove.

Simply notice what comes.

3. Exploration

From there, your experience begins to unfold.

I will listen carefully to what you describe and use gentle, open-ended questions to help you explore the experience more fully.

Rather than deciding where your journey should go, I follow your experience.

4. Connecting With the SC / Higher Self

When appropriate within the session, I will follow the QHHT® process for inviting communication with the SC/Higher Self.

This is where the questions you prepared beforehand may be explored.

5. The Body Scan

As part of the traditional QHHT® process, the SC/Higher Self may also be asked to scan the body and provide information or insight about areas of concern that you have identified beforehand.

This portion of QHHT® is spiritual and experiential in nature and should not be considered medical evaluation, diagnosis or treatment.

6. Returning & Integrating

At the end of the hypnosis portion, I gently guide you back to your ordinary waking awareness.

We'll take a little time afterward to reconnect, talk and allow you to become fully grounded before leaving.

QHHT® with ReBecca

The Person Guiding Your Experience Matters

My background in meditation, mindfulness, breathwork, Reiki, yoga and qigong has given me years of experience working with attention, relaxation, body awareness, breath, energy and different states of inner awareness.

That experience influences how I hold a QHHT® session.

I don't want you worrying about whether you're "doing hypnosis correctly."

I want you to feel comfortable enough to become curious.

I listen. I observe. I follow your experience.

My role is to gently guide, ask questions and help you explore more deeply without deciding what your experience should be or what it should mean.

Go within. Become curious. Discover what only you can reveal.

Preparing for Your QHHT® Session

A little preparation can help you arrive feeling comfortable and ready for your experience.

Before your appointment:

• Prepare a written list of questions you would like to explore.

• Prioritize the questions that are most important to you.

• Limit caffeine the morning/day of your session so it is easier to relax.

• Avoid alcohol or recreational substances before your appointment.

• Wear comfortable clothing and bring warm socks if you'd like them.

• Bring water or a non-alcoholic beverage and limit caffeine.

• Eat beforehand, but choose something that leaves you feeling comfortable rather than overly full.

• Try not to place pressure on yourself about what you "should" experience.

Most importantly:

Be curious.

How Long Is a QHHT® Session?

Please plan for approximately 6–8 hours for your complete appointment.

This includes our conversation beforehand, preparation, the hypnosis portion of your session and time afterward.

The length of the hypnosis experience itself varies from person to person.

I intentionally do not structure your appointment like a conventional hourly wellness session.

Your experience should not feel rushed because a clock is running.

After Your Session

You will receive an audio recording of the hypnosis portion of your session.

I recommend giving yourself a relatively quiet remainder of the day when possible and having a grounding meal afterward.

You may also want to journal about anything you remember or notice.

Listening to your recording afterward is an important part of revisiting and integrating the experience. You may notice details or perspectives that you didn't fully recognize while the session was happening.

Allow yourself time to process the experience without feeling that you need to immediately define what everything means.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I can't visualize?

That's okay. Not everyone experiences inner awareness visually. You may notice feelings, sensations, words, impressions, emotions or simply know something without seeing an image.

What if I don't experience a past life?

There is no requirement that you do. Your experience may unfold in many different ways.

Will I lose control?

Hypnosis is not about surrendering control to your practitioner. You may remain aware of my voice and what is happening throughout your experience.

Will I remember everything?

Recall varies. Some people remember a great deal while others find that certain portions become less distinct afterward. This is one reason your session is recorded.

What if I think I'm making it up?

This is an extremely common concern.

During the experience, I encourage you not to analyze where information is coming from. Simply describe what you notice and allow it to develop.

You can evaluate and interpret the experience afterward.

Can you tell me what my experience means?

My role is not to impose an interpretation upon your experience.

I may ask questions that help you explore it more deeply, but ultimately the meaning belongs to you.

Is QHHT® a medical or mental-health treatment?

No. QHHT® is a complementary personal and spiritual exploration practice. It is not medical care, psychotherapy or psychiatric treatment and should never replace appropriate care from qualified healthcare professionals.
